Jacek Blazewicz - Project PI for Polish partner

Full Professor

Jacek is a professor at the Poznan University of Technology. He aimed at merging optimization techniques, including metaheuristics, with graph-theory-based models for solving hard combinatorial optimization problems arising in various domains. He is mainly interested in algorithms' design and their complexity analysis, especially in the resource-constrained scheduling theory, and bioinformatics.

Jedrzej is the Vice-Dean/Faculty Coordinator for Development and Industrial Cooperation at the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications. He has many years of experience in e-commerce, internet shopping optimization, operations research, combinatorial optimization, and cloud computing.

Grégoire Danoy – Work Package Leader

Research Scientist

Grégoire is a research scientist at the University of Luxembourg and Deputy-Head of the Parallel Computing and Optimization Group (PCOG). He has more than 15 years of research experience in artificial intelligence techniques applied to unmanned autonomous systems (e.g., drones), satellite communications, vehicular networks, bioinformatics, high-performance and cloud computing.

Ezhilmathi is a researcher at the University of Luxembourg. He is interested in data lakes and scientific computing.

Maciej Antczak – Work Package Leader

Associate Professor

Maciej is a senior researcher at Poznan University of Technology and at Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Scencies. His research interests include RNA structure, structural bioinformatics, combinatorial optimization, high-performance computing, and artificial intelligence. Author of OR/bioinformatics papers in leading scientific journals.


Johnatan E. Pecero

Partnership Development Officer

Johnatan is a member of the Computer Science and Communications research unit within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication (FSTC) at the University of Luxembourg. His research interests include scheduling, green computing, multi-objective optimization, resource management, and load balancing on grid and cloud computing.

His research interests include computational methods to support analysis of the biomolecule structure and dynamics, operations research, high-throughput, and high-performance computing.
